The existing house is built in Wijeramaya. Client wanted to have an additional floor with minimum damage done to the existing house. The design approach was to keep the facade of the house similar even after the addition of the new floor but giving it a modern touch. The criteria for the design renovation were to keep it innovative with limited budget. Skylight on the staircase area gives a good lighting condition and cross ventilation which keeps the house airy.
