Project is the unique one when it comes to renovations. The client is a family with an Indian Tamil influence. So according to the client’s request, the house is designed in a traditional manner.
This traditional and modern inspired contemporary design is truly remarkable inside and out. While manifest grate pillars and eye- catching hipped roof indicated Sri Lankan traditional architectural style. This accent feature shines out on the house’s façade, boosting its visual appeal.
We gave traditional and contemporary architectural look in to the interior. Specially this impressive design has timber flooring and wrought iron attic level, which is partly open to the double-height charming space below. We proposed handcrafted wooden doors and windows to bring the Indian cultural appearance into the house. Timber, glass and wrought iron are the main material featured in this design. Massive door window openings offer for a great deal of natural light and ventilation.
This magnificent residence is situated in the heart of Colombo. The house is single story with a total floor area of 3800 sq.ft. The house consists of mainly 03 parking spaces, a living area, an open dining, kitchen & pantry,03 bed rooms with toilets furthermore a study area on the timber attic, a peaceful puja area and utility space. Garden and front plantation given natural light, ventilation and greenery to the house at the same time securing the privacy of the clients in an urban context.
