In respect to the most venerable Mahathera, the late Davuldena Gnanissara Maha Thero ,a proposal to build a fully facilitated Memorial Museum and library complex Bhikshu Vivekaramaya and Bhawana Madyasthanaya, Nugegoda under the guidance of Ven.Bandarawela Nannda Thero.
This fully fledged Museum and Library is proposed as a four storied building with mainly museum space.The architectural brief includes facilities such as discussion areas, bedrooms, museum space(1571.4 sq.ft), worship area with comprehensive library space to support learning meditation , stupa and meditative walk area placed at the roof terrace. The Museum holds all the valuable instruments used by the Most Ven.Mahathera , including his publications.
The building is connected to the temple through third floor from the museum area. This structure is a perfect blend of traditional and modern architecture.
The vision of the project is to spread the wealth of knowledge acquired by the Mahathera to the Buddhist society with an aim of enlightening the Buddhists all around the world in the future.
