This is a renovation proposal for the auditorium of 3590sq.ft located in a University in Kelaniya. Functioning of the auditorium is improved while maintaining the original seat count of approximately 216 seats. Auditorium designed with according to client’s administrative requirements, government identity, acoustical principles, becomes which was a challenge for the interior designer. The features of “heavy” details incorporated within the entire building has been continued to the interior of the auditorium. However, use of cofferred ceiling with hidden lights were used to induce the grandness of a government environment.
